A Very Perth Christmas with Liquor Barons

This year the gang at LBHQ wanted to do something really special and unique for our Chrissie Catalogue and red baubles with the prices inside was simply not an option.

Instead, we thought we’d take a crack at a more modern and local adaptation of a famous Australian artwork from 1940 “Australian Beach Pattern” by artist Charles Meere.

Meere’s work features a number of different Aussie characters frolicking in the sun by the shoreline in a stunningly chaotic 'Australiana' scene.

Staring on the front cover of the catalogue are a variety of Liquor Barons store owners and managers who serve their customers in their local communities right across our state.

Enjoying Cottesloe beach from right to left are:

10.  Karen, Owner, Greenwood.

  5. Tasha, Manager, Windsor.

The intention behind the catalogue's inception was to use it to reflect the many different and interesting characters who are the owners of our local WA liquor stores which make up our Co-op while at the same time - celebrating our  'uniquely Western Australian Christmas’.

Translating this iconic Aussie artwork which many of us at LBHQ have always loved, gave us the opportunity to really showcase our unique summer lifestyle here in Perth and what it truly means to be a sand-groper at Chrissie.

After all, what’s Christmas without a trip to the beach and a cold beer?”

The catalogue will be available in-store  until December 17th of December.
