A family owned and operated vineyard situated in the heart of the Margaret River region. Established in the late 1990s by Spike and Lanie Fokkema. The operation is now overseen by Ray Fokkema who along with his parents planted the entire vineyard which now consists of 60 hectares of vines and 16 different grape varieties. Spike and Ray live on the property and are passionate focused and highly skilled viticulturists.
The philosophy at Churchview Estate is simple. “Cultivated, Crafted, Cherished”. Cultivate pure healthy quality grapes, Craft aromatic intensely flavoured wines with minimal intervention. Cherish the final product with friends and family.

Did You Know?
Churchview Estate is named after the heritage listed church as seen from the tasting room. St. John the Baptist Anglican Church was built to serve the small community of Boyndlie Park (later Metricup), which was the social centre for the Group Settlement (Group 60) settlers. The church was built from funds sent from England to cater for the ‘Group Settler’ families. Metricup Church (St. John the Baptist) was built in 1935 and cost £105.00
Winemaker Greg Garnish
What a lot of the local industry don’t know is that Greg has a business law degree and a master of accounting degree, fortunately, for us, Greg found this career way too boring. So he packed away his desk, ditched the suit and in 2004 started his wine making apprenticeship whilst studying Wine Science at Charles Sturt University. Greg has been crafting Churchview’s wines since 2009.
