Wine of the Month special available: 5 November to 2 December 2018

Arguably one of Australia’s most awarded wineries in recent years, Deep Woods continues to go from strength to strength.

At the winemaking helm is 2018 James Halliday Winemaker of the Year – Julian Langworthy. There doesn’t seem like there’s much that Deep Woods can’t do. A Jimmy Watson, Ray Jordan’s Winery, Winemaker and Wine of the Year (all in the same year), Australia’s top-rated Rose (spelling), Halliday Chardonnay Challenge Winner, the list goes on! In one word, Langworthy describes the Deep Woods wines as ‘awesome’.

Did you know/Quick Facts

Winemaking is serious business and there’s (normally) no more serious a time in a winemaker’s life than vintage. This year, to compound the 17hour days, the winemakers at Deep Woods and their good mates at Xanadu were engaged in one of the most epic (funny) battles ever seen on Instagram. The (obviously false) accusations of theft of grape bins by Bin Jong Jul – The King in the North (Langworthy) resulted in a range of pranks involving said bins with many laughs had across the country by those in the know.
