West Aus Wines

From the land of cabernet, chardonnay, and the iconic sauvignon blanc / semillon blend, we give you the finest selection of value for money wines from just a few of Australia’s many great wineries. Fancy splurging? Talk to your local store about trading up on any of these beauties – we’re sure to have a selection to suit every budget.

east coast wines

Not many regions in Australia are as well known for their red wines as Coonawarra, the Barossa and McLaren Vale. Gone are the days of the singular full-bodied style of wine, these days the selection is exciting and varied; it ranges from spicy and fine, through to the long-proven ball-busting reds of old. The oak regimes are really mixing things up as well; you now have the choice of more than just French (toasty and spicy) and American (coconut and vanilla pod) – you can put your taste buds through their paces and try a cabernet or shiraz aged in whisky barrels (Double Barrel, from Coonawarra). What a time to be alive.

sparkling wines

Is there anything that says ‘party’ better than bubbles? (Hint: no.) Champagne, sparkling wine, prosecco and every other style of bubbly from all corners of the globe announce ‘happy days’ better than any person can. So – to that end, we bring you a line-up of some of our favourite bubbles, from the inimitable wares of Champagne: Veuve Clicquot, Moet & Chandon and Heidsieck & co; to the undeniably good value French bubbly (method traditionelle) of Veuve Moisans. Prefer to keep it local? Chandon, based in the Yarra Valley is synonymous with consistently great quality sparkling wine that VERY OCCASIONALLY dips down to the delicious price of $20. Santé mates.
