Pirate Life Brewing was founded by a group of salty dogs out of Adelaide back in 2014 to embrace the wild and free living ethic of their historical swash-buckling counterparts. Pirate Life takes inspiration instead from anywhere they can find it – other breweries, interesting brewers, chefs, and even scientists and engineers. With awards, incredible venues and some epic collaborations under its belt, Pirate Life is a brewery to watch.

Hazy XPA 355mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA.
Type: XPA
Analysis: 5% ABV
Tasting notes: Full-bodied, moderate bitterness, tropical fruit.
Colour: Hazy, honey colour.
Aroma: Pineapple, mandarin.

The ‘X’ in XPA stands for ‘extra’ – something this pale has in spades…Wheat, malted barley, and oats give it a whole body and hazy, honey hue. As you might expect, hops are front row centre, with US and NZ strains supplying many fruity characters.

Hazy IPA 355mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA
Type: IPA
Analysis: 6% ABV
Tasting notes: Passionfruit, low bitterness, bright and clean.
Colour: Yellow hue.
Aroma: Mango, peach and mandarin.

South Coast Pale Ale 355mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA.
Type: Pale Ale
Analysis: 4.4% ABV
Tasting notes: Tropical flavours, sweet malt, fine hop bitterness, light-bodied.
Colour: Yellow.
Aroma: Stone fruit, citrus.

This landmark pale encompasses the founding vision of ingenuity, the unwavering commitment to quality, and the laid-back spirit of the South Coast. It pours a luminous yellow with a fluffy head of foam. Expect aromas of citrus and peach.

South Coast Ultra Low 355mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA.
Type: Pale Ale
Analysis: Less than 0.5% ABV
Tasting notes: Fruit characters, malty undertones, clean and crisp finish.
Colour: Yellow.
Aroma: Citrus, stone fruit.

Full flavour and less than 0.5% ABV? That’s what you can expect from PL’s South Coast Ultra Low…Expect a lemon-yellow pour and a thick head of foam. To drink, it’s complete and fresh, with gentle fruit characters, malty undertones, and a clean, crisp finish.
