The Precedent consists of four varietals within its range. These are the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon all from the 2023 vintage.

Sauvignon Blanc 2023

• Origin: Margaret River, WA.
• Type: Sauvignon Blanc.
• Analysis: 13% ABV
• Tasting notes: Showing characters of tropical guava, refreshing lemon zest and a hint of snow pea.
• Colour: Pale green/yellow.
• Aroma: Snow pea, passionfruit.

Crisp and fresh like any good Sauvignon Blanc, The Precedent’s Sauvignon Blanc holds its own when compared to other dry whites. This wine is bright and fresh. Would pair beautifully with any seafood dish.

Chardonnay 2023

• Origin: Margaret River, WA.
• Type: Chardonnay.
• Analysis: 13.25% ABV
• Tasting notes: Rich with hints of vanilla and oak, this wine gives grapefruit aromas with a spicy reduction, combined with peach and citrus acidity on the palate. Finishes long and fresh with a pleasant oak derived toast.
• Colour: Pale yellow.
• Aroma: Notes of toasted bread.

The Precedent Chardonnay uses modern, sophisticated flavours that are classic to the Margaret River region. Perfectly pairs with a roast chicken or pork.

Shiraz 2023

• Origin: Margaret River, WA.
• Type: Shiraz.
• Analysis: 14.9% ABV
• Tasting notes: Boysenberry, cinnamon, full bodied.
• Colour: Deep red.
• Aroma: Raspberry, dark cherry.

Bold and powerful, true to The Precedent brand, the Shiraz is fruit forward with a full bodied flavour. In the finish, the Shiraz digresses into a crunchy acidity with fine tannins. Long, refreshing, and a perfect pairing to a hearty red meat dish, like lamb shoulder.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

• Origin: Margaret River, WA.
• Type: Cabernet Sauvignon.
• Analysis: 15% ABV
• Tasting notes: Intense, full bodied, dusty oak, dark berry, bay leaf.
• Colour: Dark red.
• Aroma: Black berry, bay leaf, oaky.

Another red that is full of intensity, structure and power, this Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent example of a full bodied and satisfying Cabernet Sauvignon. With classic dark berry, bay leaf, red capsicum and hints of mint on the nose, it leads to cassis and cedar flavourings with tight tannins. Finishing long with a hint of dusty oak and is perfectly suited with charcoal grilled meats.
