Veuve Clicquot Subheading

THE HEART OF CHAMPAGNE

Born in Reims in 1777, Barbe Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin defied convention when she took the reins of the House, founded in 1772, becoming one of the first modern female entrepreneurs in Champagne. Widowed at just 27, she led with bold vision and unwavering determination.

Her pioneering spirit shaped the future of Champagne. From the first known vintage release to the invention of the riddling table and the first blended rosé. Her legacy endures today, earning her the title La Grande Dame of Champagne and cementing the House as a global symbol of excellence.

The House style is distinguished by the dominance of Pinot Noir, which lends Veuve Clicquot its signature structure, strength, and aromatic complexity. This is most visible in the iconic Yellow Label, a symbol of the House’s heritage and consistency.

Guided by the motto “Only one quality, the finest,” Veuve Clicquot continues to balance tradition with a modern spirit, remaining one of the world’s most celebrated and recognisable Champagnes.
