Our crew of craft beer connoisseurs recently put their beer-tasting expertise to the test to decide their six stand-out tins of the season. Every edition of On The Hops boasts the best craft beers from around the country, with innovative styles and heavenly hop profiles to match.

On The Hops #26 is now in fridges around select Barons stores until 8 October, so be sure to check in with your local Barons to see if they’ve got the mixed sixer in stock.

• Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. | Ace IPA
  Rocky Ridge has named their award winning beer after their “top dog and goodest boy”, Ace. This beer is a pale copper delight. Big and bold flavours with a hop haze. Get ready for pine, mango, and passionfruit aromas, followed by tropical fruit flavours and a biscuit-like base. The pine resin bitterness coats your mouth for the finish.
  ABV: 6.8%
• Whitelakes Brewing | Dark Lager
  Why not have the best of both worlds with this light and dry lager from Whitelakes? Enjoying a mouthful of Whitelakes Dark Lager is like having coffee, chocolate, spearmint and citrus swirling around the palate all in one. This will be your best winter warmer for these chilly WA nights.
  ABV: 4.8%
• Black Brewing Co. | Bao Bao Milk Stout
  When you think of silky-smooth, you’ll now think of Black Brewing’s Bao Bao Milk Stout. This brew’s secret is the lactose they use which smooths out the bitter edge to give that creamy mouthfeel. With nice big hits of dark chocolate and coffee notes, this stout is super smooth and sessionable.
  ABV: 4.5%
• Beerfarm | India Pale Lager
  An icon in its own right, Beerfarm’s award-winning IPL is all things citrus and melon aromas. Made for their own selfish pleasure, this cheeky beer is crisped with bitterness, fermented cold and lagered for weeks to give you a classic beer style at its finest.
  ABV: 5.2%
• Pirate Life Brewing | ESB (Extra Special Bitter)
  Picture this: toffee and spice dancing around the palate, with golden maltiness joining the party too. We’ve also got NZ, US and UK hops bringing the bitterness to the Pirate Life ESB flavour party. Sip it, savour it and let the caramel fudge and toasted malt take you on a wild flavour adventure.

• Feral Brewing Co. | Cryo XPA
  This one is for the XPA lovers, who crave all things tropical and refreshing. Feral are no strangers to fruitiness, so it’s no suprise that this Feral XPA brew brings all things passionfruit, mango and apricot to refresh your palate. Goes down nicely with the classic fish ‘n’ chips or your typical Aussie pie.
  ABV: 4.8%
