Our Liquor Barons craft beer connoisseurs have been at it again. This edition of On The Hops focuses on summery flavours that stand-out for those warm arvos and evenings. Selected from the best craft beers around the country, allow us to introduce you to some brews that you might recognise, or maybe some you’re yet to try. To make things easier, we’ve put our selection of the best brews into a mixed sixer so you can try each one.

On The Hops #27 is now in fridges around select Barons stores until December 3, so be sure to check in with your local Barons to see if they’ve got the mixed sixer in stock.

Edition #27 Mixed Sixer:

• Thorny Devil Brewery | Vienna Lager
  Another conquering hero by a WA local, the Vienna Lager from Thorny Devil Brewery won BIG this year! Get around the handcrafted mid-strength amber lager. Characterized by a soft biscuity Vienna malt flavouring with low bitterness, drink this champion among champions with your grilled meat and veg.
  ABV: 3.5%
• Beerfarm | Superdelic NEIPA
  Good vibes are guaranteed! Beerfarm’s latest brew is the New England IPA of your dreams. Think mango, berry, and citrus swirling around with a tropical hop finish. Smooth and hazy, this beer is low in bitterness, high in drinkability and pairs perfectly with something savoury and crunchy like fried chicken.
  ABV: 7.2%
• Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. | Session India Pale Lager
  A jack of all trades, this IPL is easy to drink, refreshing, and bold, with heaps of tropical smelling Aussie hops. Brewed locally, preservative-free and unpasteurised, Rocky Ridge’s crisp Session IPL will go down a treat with a burger… a beer necessity.
  ABV: 3.4%
• King Road Brewing Co. | India Pale Ale
  This is the drink for winners! This award-winning beer has been described as a “hop lover’s dream”. The strawberry hints and the clean bitterness of King Road’s IPA makes this bev go down a treat. A WA family-owned and operated brewery, these guys handcraft their brews and use the best local produce to create their signature flavours. Hop to it!
  ABV: 6.0%
• Wayward Brewing Co. | India Pale Ale
  IPA all day! This brewtiful beer is just what you’ll want to be drinking at your mate’s BBQ this weekend. Filled with fruity and tropical flavours finishing crisp and dry. Feel refreshed as you sip on this classic all-day-er. As much as we love a good beer in a can, try pouring this beauty into a glass so that you can get all the good smells in ya nostrils too!
  ABV: 6.0%
• 4 Pines Brewing Co. | Japanese Style Lager
  Be teleported to the streets of Tokyo with 4 Pines Japanese Lager. Expect a hint of sweetness, balanced out by a subtle herbal bite from a dash of hops. Pair this refreshing brew with seafood or sushi and you’ll be saying arigato!
  ABV: 4.5%
