ABOUT

Willow Bridge was founded in the early 1990s by Jeff and Vicki Dewar. It expanded incrementally to become the biggest planting in the fledgling Geographe wine region by 1998.

Two hours south of Perth, on the way to Margaret River, is a pristine piece of land that rises from the coast to form rolling hills, unique to this corner of the world. It’s here the Dewar family dreamed up the idea to grow grapes, establishing Ferguson Valley as one of the most important sub-regions of Geographe Wine Region. Soil is typically a deep layer of ironstone gravelly loam over red and yellow friable clay.

Their wines offer exceptional value for money. Kim Horton, with 25 years of winemaking in WA, believes that wines are made in the vineyard; the better the understanding of the vineyard and its unique characteristics, the better the wines reflect the soil and the climate.

James Halliday has awarded the winery with Five Red Stars, the highest accolade. Halliday wine companion 2023 says “many of its wines offer exceptional value for money”.

Award-winning winemaker Kim Horton has been recognised consistently for ‘Excellence in Winemaking’ at the Geographe Wine Show, where Willow Bridge has been the ‘Most Successful Exhibitor’ for the past five years.

Willow Bridge is family-owned and operated with a hands-on approach: “we pick and crush every grape, we press every skin, we ferment every litre, and we pack every bottle”.
