Maker’s Mark® is handmade from start to finish at the historic distillery in Loretto, Ky. Made with red winter wheat for a softer, front-of-tongue finish, the bourbon is then aged to taste, ensuring a consistency and quality that make Maker’s Mark®… well, Maker’s Mark. . Each and every bottle of Maker's® is still hand-dipped in signature red wax at the distillery, just like Bill would have wanted.
Maker’s Mark & Ginger
- Maker’s Mark 30ml or 45ml
- Ginger beer
- 1 dash of bitters
- Highball glass
- Orange slice or mint sprig
- Fill glass with Ice
- Pour 30 or 45ml of Maker’s Mark
- Fill up glass with Ginger beer
- Garnish with a slice of orange or mint sprig
Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned
- Maker’s Mark 60ml
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 2 dashes of bitters
- 1 teaspoon of water
- Orange peel
- Old Fashioned Glass
- Orange peel
- In an old-fashioned glass, add all ingredients
- Fill glass with good quality ice and stir to optimum dilution
- Garnish and serve

Did you know...
T. William "Bill" Samuels Sr. (first owner of Makers Mark, Oct 1953) received considerable assistance and recipes from cult/unicorn distillery Stitzel-Weller owner #PappyVanWinkle.
So that his new bourbon would have a softer taste, Bill created his recipe with gentle red winter wheat as the flavouring grain instead of the traditional rye which most other bourbons use.
Another little known fact: Bill's wife, Marjorie "Margie" Samuels, gave the whiskey its name, drew the label, and thought up the distinctive red wax dip. Each bottle is hand-dipped in a signature red wax, meaning no two are exactly alike.
Makers was introduced to the American market in 1959. In the 60's and 70's it was advertised with the catch-phrase "It tastes expensive... and it is." Thankfully... we sell it at $44.99 Every. Single. Day.
