• Cherubino | The Yard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
  The Riversdale vineyard in Frankland supplies some of the best wines in the State. This is another beauty. The vineyard lends a recognisable character to the wines with the stony soils contributing to the fine tannins and precise acidity. This is bright and vibrant with a palate that bounces along to a super long and super fine finish.

• Jericho | Tempranillo 2021
  Some mighty good wines came out of the Adelaide Hills in 2021, and this one is a beauty. Made in a completely approachable style, capturing the red fruit and slightly rustic earthy nuances of the variety. The palate is smooth and medium weight but offers a wave of flavour that extends easily to a long finish.

• Castelli Estate | Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
  Frankland River in 2018, what a great combination. This is a cracking good wine. Brimming with everything that is good with this variety, grown on the regionally distinctive soils in Frankland. Oodles of blackcurrant fruit wash over the palate with a combination of graphite and ironstone adding a defining character. It’s poised and powerful but with that Frankland stylishness.

• Millbrook | Single Vineyard Shiraz 2020
  We first saw this cracking wine last year and, if anything, it’s a little better off from an already high base. This is one of an increasing number of stunning shiraz emerging from Frankland River and redefining this region for a distinctive style of shiraz. It’s a wild and crazy ride through black fruits, licorice, dark plum and chocolate with a slightly ferrous ironstone core adding to its complexity.

• Swinney | Grenache 2021
  A beautifully polished and stylish expression of this variety from Frankland River. The colour is
  brilliant and bright with crimson hues. Lifted floral notes of rose petal and juby raspberry. The palate is medium weight with a bright lively red fruit expression. Fine granular tannins contribute to a slightly grainy palate feel. Lovely long finish.

• Vasse Felix | Syrah
  This is the result of a concerted effort to create a cool climate expression of shiraz, hence the use of the name syrah. It’s from the southern vineyards and was wild fermented with some whole bunch fermentation and carbonic maceration. This wine has bright red fruit with a lift of cranberry and pomegranate, spices and a trace of licorice. Fine and stylishly elegant with a thoroughly engaging palate.
